Radio 1’s Big Weekend
This BBC weekender moves to a different UK city each year,
but it always manages to bring some of the biggest names in pop music with it.
The event takes place 27-29 May at the War Memorial Park, with more
than 80,000 fans expected over the three-day event, and acts are expected to be announced soon.
Previous headliners at Radio 1’s Big Weekend have included Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and Miley Cyrus.
Dedicated to reggae, afrobeats and dancehall, this Brixton festival
will be spread across six stages. City Splash is a one-day festival bringing
the hottest carnival vibes to South London with the biggest artists in Reggae,
Dancehall, Afrobeats and more. The City Splash mission is to help celebrate
the impact and importance of Caribbean and African music on British culture.
