Rapper and producer Kanye West releases his tenth studio album ‘Donda’ after multiple delays
Kanye West is one of the most influential entertainers of his generation.
The 44-year-old has had an impressive music career stemming back to 2004 with his critically acclaimed first album The College Dropout.
Ever since, West has been in the hip-hop spotlight, best known for his lyrical talent and production.
He is one of the world’s best selling artists of all time, selling over 160 million internationally.
Outside of music, West is known for his outspoken views shared in public settings and on social media.
With all this in mind, many were excited when the rapper announced his tenth studio album ‘Donda’ in July 2020.
The name ‘Donda’ is the name of West’s late mother, Donda West, who died in November 2007.
In July 2021, West began recording in a studio at the Mercedes-Benz stadium.
That same month, he announced that there will be listening party events for the album.
There were three listening events for the album in total.
Donda was finally released on streaming services on August 29.
On the album, West continues his religious theme from his ninth studio album Jesus is King.
The album is a lengthy one hour and forty nine minutes with 27 tracks.
Guest features on Donda include Jay Z, DaBaby, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Pusha T, Pop Smoke and West’s late mother Donda.
